Q. What about specific tests and x-rays?
A. The Clinic has the capacity to do Urinalysis and Pregnancy Tests. All ECGs must be done Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:00 am, unless specified by the Physician.
Q. What is the cost of a visit if I do not have my Saskatchewan or other Provincial Health Card?
A. The charge will be $60.00 (additional charges may be incurred if you require an ECG, pregnancy or urine test.) No shows are $60.00 and Completes/Physicals $90.00. If you present a validated Health Card for that period, you will have up to 90 days only for a refund.
Q. Will the Receptionist or Nursing Station provide me with my test results?
A. No. Two reasons: Due to privacy legislation, our staff do not have access to your medical reports. Secondly, your Physician may need to discuss the results of your tests or x-rays and/or prescribe medication(s); they may also want to follow-up with you, therefore, the consultation is very important.
Q. What if I need pain medication or narcotics?
A. Only your family physician is able to prescribe or renew your prescriptions for pain medication or narcotics. If your family physician is not able to prescribe a certain pain medication, he/she will provide you with the rationale due to strict regulations set for Physicians and Pharmacists.
Q. I came into the Clinic and needed my form completed that evening. Why must I wait a day?
A. Completion of forms will take additional time to complete. The Physician will advise when the forms will be completed and available for pick-up. If you require a Truck Driver Physical, this must be set-up as an appointment due to the length of time required to complete the Physical examination.
Q. Why are there different prices for different forms?
A. Some forms require more detailed information than others, therefore, it is based on the Physician’s time to complete the form.
Q. Why can I not get my renewal prescription the same day as I or the Pharmacy request it?
A. Please ensure that you do not wait until your last pill and expect that the prescription be filled the same day—you may need to see your Physician. Physicians do not sign off on requests until the end of the day and may not receive the requests from the Pharmacy until the next day.
What if I need a procedure, can it be done during walk-in hours?
A. It is best to book an appointment with your Family Physician in order to allocate the appropriate amount of time that is required for a specific procedure or if that procedure can be done in the Clinic.
Q. How do I book an appointment?
A. You may book your appointment in person or by telephone. We now have a dedicated line to book your appointment between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Please advise our booking receptionist on the type of appointment you are requesting. If you miss your appointment, and do not advise, you will be invoiced $60.00 for a regular appointment and $90.00 if it is a complete physical examination.
Please remember to register at the Reception desk when you arrive for your appointment. We do not recommend that you leave the Clinic while waiting to see your Physician.
